Sophie and Katherine, both started as beginners in 1999.

"Ever since we can remember, we've been fascinated and transported into exciting worlds by cloak and dagger stories such as "The Three Musketeers", "The Scarlet Pimpernel", "Dick Turpin"... This interest grew as we saw films where the costumes and characters were even wilder and more colourful than in our imaginations!! So after seeing "La Bossu (The Hunchback)" last year, we decided it was time to stop being only spectators and join in the action - we took up fencing! At Saxon, the atmosphere is relaxed yet stimulating, the people are friendly and training is fun!
