Kat Hall, still coming along after moving to the wilds of Blackheath...

Kat says:
I started Fencing a couple of years ago, but was not very dedicated as University kept me very busy. I took it up again upon moving to London and came to Saxon as I lived round the corner (I now live in S.E. London and still come here so it must be good!).
Fencing has always appealed to me, especially after watching Errol Flynn and Basil Rathbone fighting up the stairs in Nottingham castle. Fencing is great fun, good exercise and beats Aerobics or going to the gym any day! I fence foil at the moment but am considering Sabre, as I seem to be more of a slasher than a stabber!
Saxon is a very friendly club, with the Beginner's courses a great way to start. And they're very forgiving - on some occasions I only turn up in the pub afterwards, which has earned me the position of Honorary Social Secretary! So when you come and join us I'll be rallying you to come for a drink - and after 2 hours of summertime fencing you'll need it!
